Back with a bang, thanks to Rooney Mara from ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ and Zooey Deschanel in ‘New Girl’, hair bangs are making a grand come back, setting the trend for 2012.
I’ve always been a huge supporter of hair bangs or fringes ( well, how you call it, it depends on where you live, bangs, fringes, hair curtains, whatever you prefer). Not only it always reminds me of my childhood, a little girl with a pony tail that tied up with a red ribbon and the forehead was always covered up with big thick bangs. My forehead never had the chance to see the day lights through my entire childhood. I will forever associate hair bangs with youth and innocence. I also come to the conclusion about the perks to have hair bangs. Firstly, it will save you lots of money on Botox. Hair bangs is a perfect cover up if you have a wrinkled forehead and don’t like it. Secondly, it saves you the hassle to pluck your eyebrows. Again, long hair bangs will cover up your eyebrows, you can let your brows go really wild like an Amazon forest, nobody will even notice it. However, if you have fine hair just like me, it’s the best to roll your fringes in a hair roller before you go to bed, otherwise you will end up like me (thank god, it only happens occasionally), have your fringes hanging on your forehead like a piece of pancake.
Team Zooey Deschanel’s style of hair bangs with a long curly hair for that innocent and romantic girly look or go for Rooney Mara’s style if you want to look super chic and fashion forward. Then there is Justin Bieber’s hair bangs if you want to look like a super rich 17 years old teenage boy who’s still waiting for the adult male hormones to hit him.
